Welcome to my Elementary Art website.  Encourage your students to explore and discover art all around them in the world.  Art surrounds us constantly.  We can find it in nature, in our house, and all over our imagination.  Just explore!

Practice making art at home, not just in school.  Simple tools for making art include pencils, erasers, crayons, markers, clay, paint, paper, and fun!  Draw what you see, feel, or imagine.

Lacking an idea of what to draw?  Draw a dream, what you want to be when you grow up, an alien, a fish, what you would like to do this summer, a castle, a balloon, your family...or just start with a doodle!  Close your eyes, put the pencil in your hand, and just start moving.  Draw with your eyes closed and then add color.  It will quickly become an incredible piece of art!
